About this tour

The 4-in-1 Mystic Tour visits four places south of Cusco in a single day, where stone, water and Andean legend meet: the Abode of the Gods, the Valley of the Elves, the Huasao Wetland and the Forest of the Ents. It is a private service: you travel only with your group, with a professional guide and our own transport, and entrance to all four sites is included.

The four stops

  • Abode of the Gods. A set of lithic monuments carved into virgin ground. Its craftsmen tell that mukis and elves appeared during the work and asked to take part as an offering to Pachamama.
  • Valley of the Elves. Stone sculptures and chinkanas, the rock passages peeking out between the crags, in a landscape of natural formations.
  • Huasao Wetland. A restored nature reserve with a lake and many species of birds and plants, regarded as a new green lung for the region.
  • Forest of the Ents. In San José de Turpo, on the Cusco–Huasao road, a walk among sculptures made from roots, inspired by The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien.

What the day looks like

We pick you up at your Cusco hotel and head south. The full day takes about eight hours, depending on the itinerary, traffic and how long you want at each place. Because it is private, the guide adapts the order and pace to your group, and the vehicle stays with you all day. We finish back at your hotel.

Price per service

The price is per private service, not per person, and depends on the group size and the vehicle needed: 280 USD for 1 to 4 travellers, 340 USD for 5 to 6, 420 USD for 7 to 10 and 500 USD for 11 to 15. It includes private return transport, the guide and entrance to all four sites, subject to the fees in force when you book. Food is not included.

Who it suits

Families, couples and groups who want to see a different Cusco from the Inca ruins, with short walks and plenty of scenery. It pairs well with the South Valley tour on another day, or as an easy day between two demanding trips. Cancellation conditions are in our cancellation policy.
